Well, I had my first baby shower last Saturday. It went great! Thanks to my somewhat of a good friend Katy. Not a best friend, just a good friend! haha. Anyways, she threw me a baby shower and it was lots of fun! We played games, I didn't win, but oh well. I got Lots and Lots of gifts. Most were clothes. So I have enough clothes now for 5 little baby girls! Everyone keeps telling me to take some back, but I can't part with any of them. I love them too much! There was lots of good food, including cup cakes. I consumed three of them..... Then afterwards all my friends came to my house to help me organize the baby's room. Most of the organizing was with the bags and bags of clothes. But I still have another baby shower in which I hope to get even more stuff! This time, hopefully, stuff on my registry! I love gifts, if I didn't have them my years would be so sad. No Valentines gifts, no Anniversary gifts, no Birthday gifts, no Christmas gifts, and now no Mother's Day gifts! I would be lost without these special days! Plus most of them are celebrated by me for at least a month. That means new gifts everyday! Especially my Birthday, I get the month before and the month after. All just for me! Anyways, what was I talking about? Oh yes, My second shower is on the 1st of September. I can't wait! I like lists so much, so I thought I would make a list of things I will be doing differently for this baby shower...
1. I will not curl my hair, it accentuates my fat face. Thanks to the baby and my obsession with salt.
2. I will not be excited about wearing a Mu mu like dress for the whole month prior to the baby shower. I bought this dress that I swear was so cute, I was so excited to wear it. I put it on the morning of the shower and was like, "what the heck is this! and what made me think my hair was good?" Then my loving husband decided to say, "Why don't you wear something that shows that you are pregnant?" What the heck does that mean anyways? Here's what I think it means.....you don't look pregnant honey..you look fat....like a fat grandmother who has a bad perm....take the hint and change your outfit....
3. I will have a fan by me so that I do not leave a puddle of sweat on my chair......Sorry to Nancy Allred for that...
4. I will cover up my cankles....again...too much salt....
5. And finally.....I will be aware of anyone who has a camera in the room. I have seen a few pictures that are not so spectacular of me, and I couldn't tell you when they were taken......sad.
